SCHOLAR BALLER CLASS OF 2024 SUBMISSIONS OPEN ON TUESDAY, OCTOBER 1ST

Scholar Athlete Banquet Grading Scale Conversion and Submission Instructions (Arizona YFL Fall 2024)

AZYFL Phoenix AYF is proud to celebrate academic excellence. Every AZYFL Fall participant FOOTBALL & CHEER  is eligible to participate in the Academic and Scholastic Recognition program. If you have received an 80% or above you will receive an invite and be recognized at the corresponding achievement level.  All qualifiers will be invited to the Annual Scholar Athlete Banquet, which will take place on November 24th, 2024, at Desert Financial Arena & the Desert Park Arboretum, ASU Tempe Campus.

To qualify, submit your full-year report card from the previous school year (Spring 2024 and Fall 2023, Last School Year) by October 21st, 2024.

 

Here's how to participate:

Steps to Submit Your Grades:

1. Get Your Report Card
   Locate your report card for the 2023-2024 school year (Spring 2023 and Fall 2024).

2. Convert Your Grades Using the AYF AAA Form  (Click Here for Grade Conversion Chart & Instructions)

   • Refer to the grading scale conversion chart for your grades.

   • Calculate for the following subject areas if applicable per your school.

     • Language Arts (English, Foreign Languages, Reading, Writing, Grammar, etc.)

     • Math (Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, General Math, etc.)

     • Social Sciences (Social Studies, Civics, History, Geography, etc.)

     • Sciences (General Science, Science, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, etc.)

     • Humanities (Art, Music, Religion, Industrial Arts, Vocations Science, etc.)

     • Physical Education (Health, Citizenship, etc.)

3. Calculate Subject Area Averages

   • Convert each grade to a numerical value using the chart.

   • For each subject area, average numerical grades.

4. Determine Your Overall Percentage

   • Add the averages from each subject area and divide by the number of subject areas listed on your report card.

5. Submit the Online Form (Click Here to Enter Your Grade Conversion Details)
   Once you have calculated your overall percentage, enter the details into the Scholar Baller Form by Monday, October 14th.

 

Scholar Baller Achievement Levels:

• All Athletes with a 80%+ will earn an invitation to the Scholar Athlete Banquet and Achieve Scholar Baller Status!

• To Qualify, Submit Grades by October 30th

American Youth Football and Cheer (AAA Qualifiers)

For those that qualify for the AYF Academic Achievement Alliance (AAA), please complete the AAA Form per the instructions. Please note that the AZYFL Scholar Athlete Banquet requirements and Scholar Baller Achievement Levels differ from the AYF AAA form, though both use the same grade conversion chart. The AAA form must be submitted separately. Further details will be provided. Send AAA completed forms via email to info@ArizonaYFL.com
